Shared house rather than living alone

Q1 Why did you decide to stay in the share house?

I wanted to live in a place where making friends would be easier, as by moving to the other side of the world I lost all my social circles. Mostly, this choice was about not being alone in a foreign country, and having someone ready to help in case of necessity.

Q2 How do you spend the time in the share house?

During the day I usually do my homeworks in the living room then make lunch (the kitchen is equipped with enough tools!) before going to school. In the evenings I hang out with my housemates, doing stuff like walking around town, going to bars or just having dinner togheter (we've shared our countries dishes many times).

Q3 How did your lifestyle change?

I became more extrovert for sure. I've always lived alone before coming here so having to relate with other people on a daily basis it's really a change in perspective. But this helped my in my personal life too: thanks to the confidence obtained by living with others, I was able to make a lot of friends all around Japan during my trips, and found my life partner.

Q4 What is your favorite memory in the share house?

Last year we made Takoyakis in the kitchen. Preparing the ingredients and slowly waiting for the Takoyakis to cook while sitting togheter at the big kitchen's table and just talking and having fun was a great experience. All in all, just being able to have someone to talk, be it to vent or to share something nice that has happened to you, it's great.

Q5 What do you want to try and how would you like yourself to be in the future?

I want to keep improving my Japanese so that I can better express my feelings to the people around me. Also, as Nagoya has so many interesting places to visit, I'd like to go out more with my housemates. Trying new stores and visiting new attractions every week has been fun and I'd like to do it more.

Q6 Massage to the people who want to move into share house?

If you want to make friends, have a helping hand in case of need, or just not be alone, this sharehouse is the perfect place. The location is great, as it's a pretty chill neighborhood but with many stores in walking distance. And the metro is just 8 minutes away when you want to go to places with more people.
