Lovely living experience

Q1 Why did you decide to stay in the share house?

I recommend living in a share house because of the social and immersive experience it provides. It is a great way to discover new people and to have friends apart from your job/university. Also, in my sharehouse we are many so everyone also has their independant life which is very appreciable.

Q2 How do you spend the time in the share house?

It depends on my mood but I usually talk to others while I am cooking or eating. Sometimes we also organize parties together, it is great times to meet everyone's friends and share.

Q3 How did your lifestyle change?

I usually don't really like cooking, but since we have a big kitchen and I see everyone preparing nice food, I got used to prepare more my food.

Q4 What is your favorite memory in the share house?

I think every party we had was really great (birthdays, welcome and leaving parties, Christmas, sushis, tempuras...). I got to discover more of Japanese cuisine. I also invited friends sometimes and everyone has always been super friendly with them.
We also did a daytrip to Kyoto which was really cool.

Q5 What do you want to try and how would you like yourself to be in the future?

I want to try wearing a kimono, we are trying to organize that with some roomates. Then we will go to Higashi Betsuin temple which is close to the house.

Q6 Massage to the people who want to move into share house?

I think that as a foreigner, living in a share house is an incredible opportunity. Even if you are shy, you can always interact with people as much as you want. I personally do not feel any social pressure in my share house. Everyone is really chill, friendly and always ready to help. It is also reassuring to live with other people that know the country well, so you can ask any advice. For exemple my roomates helped me with administrative papers when I arrived, they also recommended to me a ski resort when I wanted to go.
